What does 1Digit do?
1Digit is a UK AI architecture and data engineering consultancy. We help enterprises design, build, and govern production-grade AI systems — from data foundations and platform engineering through to governed AI deployment. We work on a fixed-price, assessment-first basis with no open-ended retainers.

We work with enterprise organisations across the UK and Europe that are investing in AI and need a structured path from fragmented data estates to production AI capability. Our clients are typically in financial services, professional services, insurance, and regulated industries.
How do engagements typically start?
Most engagements begin with the AI Readiness Assessment — a 2–5 week fixed-price diagnostic that benchmarks your organisation across five pillars and produces a prioritised transformation roadmap. From there, clients choose to continue with one or more of our implementation phases.
Do you offer fixed-price or outcome-based pricing?
Yes. Our diagnostic and strategy phases are fixed-price with clear deliverables. Implementation phases are milestone-based, with commercial checkpoints and stakeholder sign-off before each new scope. We do not do open-ended time-and-materials consulting.
Are you UK-based and do you work internationally?
Yes, 1Digit is based in the UK. We work with enterprise clients across the UK and Europe, including cross-border organisations navigating EU AI Act and GDPR requirements.
